Fünf Jahre nach dem letzten Album "demut" (damals auf dem noch existierenden L´age D´or Label) sind die Boxies zurück. Gleich der Opener "1982" (bei der CD als Track 11 auch nochmal als Instrumental) ist ein Hit und man fühlt sich direkt zu Hause.

Die Boxies können´s noch. Super! Mit "Herzigel" folgt dann eine ruppige Deutsch-Punk Nummer, um dann von "mogli" direkt den Höhepunkt des Albums einzuleiten, geniale Textzeile "Hast dich selber nicht gewollt, du bist ein Herz aus Gold" - eine Boxies Hymne vom Feinsten. Bei Track 4 kommt ein wahnwitziges Banjo zum Einsatz (im übrigens sind die Keyboards sonst komplett rausgeflogen!), eine harte Nummer, könnte auch von Oiro sein. Mit "unendlich" dann eine ok´ne Ballade, textlich an EA80 erinnernd. Die B-Seite ist experimenteller. Das unerwartet fröhliche "Flötz und Pökel" singt Co. im Duett mit Eva Briegel zur feinen Slide-Gitarre, "daumenkino" kommt dann sogar ganz ohne Drums und Bass aus, gefolgt von "lochfraß", einer derben, noisigen Nummer im Zitronen-Stil und für "der 3. ton" wurde eine bekannte Oi!Größe für die Vocals verpflichtet, so klingt´s dann auch. 10 Tracks, die sich zum Teil großer Abwechslung bedienen, aber nie den "Heimathafen" verlassen und vor allen Dingen textlich wieder ganz weit vorne sind. Muss in jeden Schrank!
